Bonsack likes to use the term “PURE” to describe our special needs loved ones.
We learned this term from our dear friend David Glover who started PURE ministry and is a friend and mentor of Bonsack’s PURE ministry.
PURE stands for:
• Perfectly created by a loving sovereign God, designed for His purposes
• Unique in his or her own gifts, blessings, talents, desires, and contributions
• Receptive and responsive to our communication and acts of love
• Eternal: there are no disabled souls
PURE Life Group (ADULTS)
Bonsack serves the PURE community in a variety of ways. Adults with intellectual disabilities meet for LIFE Group every Sunday at 11am, and we have a wonderful time each week learning about Jesus and doing activities together. We also do special events, engage in service projects, and love and pray for each other.
Parents of PURE Children
For parents who have PURE children, we work with parents to include their children in the typical Sunday School classes offered. We can provide buddies as necessary to support and protect PURE children so that parents can also learn and grow in their faith.
SPECIAL FAMILIES
Bonsack also hosts the Special Families Support group. The adults have a potluck dinner in the Bonsack Hall, and have different speakers each month to educate and encourage PURE parents. Bonsack provides child care for these precious PURE children and their siblings so that the parents can meaningfully participate in the group.
