Jr. High Weekend at Eagle Eyrie: Fall 2017

Typically held the second full weekend in October, this retreat is sponsored by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board at Eagle Eyrie Baptist Conference Center in Lynchburg. Youth and adults from all over Virginia come together to experience this weekend of worship, special interest conferences geared specifically toward middle school youth, fellowship and fun. This is a great first trip experience for our new 7th graders and is open to anyone in the 7th through 9th grades.

Bonsack's Student Choir is open to students from seventh grade through college and runs from September through May, Sunday evenings, 5–6 p.m. The students have regular opportunities to sing in worship and also participate in a summer student choir tour.

Every other summer, the Student Choir participates in a week-long choir tour, with multiple performances in places like Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, Canada, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Kentucky.

Centrifuge: June 12-17, 2017 in North Greenville, South Carolina

Centrifuge is a “spiritual growth” opportunity for teens that we offer every other summer. While at camp teens will experience powerful worship every morning and evening, small-group Bible study, team-building recreation and afternoon track times give them the opportunity to participate in a favorite activity or learn something new. This is a great summer camp opportunity that is open to all of our teens currently in the 7th through 12th grades.

SonPower: June 18-24, 2017

Taking place every other year at the end of June/first of July, this Sunday–Saturday trip is sponsored by our Student Choir ministry and is open to rising Juniors and Seniors and graduates who are actively participating in Bonsack's Student Choir. You will join with hundreds of others from across the Country in Orlando, Florida, to rehearse and record the demo CD for a newly published youth musical. Bonsack's Student Choir will then rehearse and perform that musical for their Student Choir mission trip the following summer. Included in the week are ministry opportunities and one day at an Orlando area theme park.

Impact Virginia: July 16-22, 2017 in Appomattox, Virginia

Impact Virginia is a one week construction style mission opportunity for teens who have completed the 9th through 12th grade prior to the summer. The projects will have between 250 and 300 participants and will focus on home repair and renovation. This is a great opportunity for our teens to put feet to their faith and serve others.
